This unusual CD from Martin Setchell, recorded in January 2014, had a unique recording venue - a cardboard cathedral in the middle of what amounted to a building site. Post-earthquake Christchurch has seen distinguished rebuild ideas, one of which is the Transitional Cathedral, more commonly known as the Cardboard Cathedral as it is constructed partly from huge cardboard tubes. Since the original pipe organ is still inside the ruins of the Anglican Cathedral in the Square, the new Rodgers Infinity digital organ proves an invaluable tool to worship and a thrilling new musical instrument. Martin has recorded 18 tracks of both original organ pieces and transcriptions, which exploit the multitudes of voices on the organ.
